What the postal service for travelers like in Xi'an? |
|
|
I am planning to visit Xi'an for a week and than travel by train to Beijing. however, I have extra lagguage like around 2 suitcase of 50 kgs approximately. I want to know:
1. What is the easiest and cheapest way to send the lagguage from Xi'an to Beijing?
2. What will be the rate of postal service per kilo if I use the postal service or cargo?
Thanks in advance. |

I found out last year when I was moving cities across China how easy it is to send luggage by train. There is always a special office at the train station to go to, they weigh your luggage and charge it by weight. They usually guarantee that it will be there within 2 days or your arrival (or if you send it two days in advance, it should be there on your arrival- even better!).
It's very inexpensive. I sent around 50 kg of luggage for only 150 yuan. If you have a ticket in the same direction as you want the luggage sent, you get it for half the price.
I think this is much more convenient and dependable. |
