Visa |

I would really appreciate some advice from someone out there that knows about entry requirements.
Since I'm coming from Hawaii, I won't be needing a visa to get into Hong Kong. But, from there I want to travel to Guang Zhou. Can I get the visa while i'm in Hong Kong? Would it take more than one day? Is it easy?
If it's no problem, I will do that. If not, I'll fly to Los Angeles and get it in advance.
Thank You, |

If you plan on spending anytime in HK, just apply for the visa at the China Visa office in Wanchai, China Resource Building, 7th Floor. I dont know what the fee is, I'm Canadian but live in HK.......usually takes around 2 working days for visa to be issued.
U can opt for getting a single entry visa at the Lowu/Shenzen border (KCR Train stop), but that goes for something like HK$450 per head (US citizen).
Schools? I have no idea, but if you really think ur gonna learn cantonese in 2 weeks, you r fooling yourself. Cntonese is much more difficult than Mandarin. Most people in Guangzhou also speak Mandarin which is the national laguage, so take my advice and learn mandarin instead. |
