I would really appreciate some advice from someone out there that knows about entry requirements.
Since I'm coming from Hawaii, I won't be needing a visa to get into Hong Kong. But, from there I want to travel to Guang Zhou. Can I get the visa while i'm in Hong Kong? Would it take more than one day? Is it easy?
If it's no problem, I will do that. If not, I'll fly to Los Angeles and get it in advance.
Thank You,

Ned

If you plan on spending anytime in HK, just apply for the visa at the China Visa office in Wanchai, China Resource Building, 7th Floor. I dont know what the fee is, I'm Canadian but live in HK.......usually takes around 2 working days for visa to be issued.
U can opt for getting a single entry visa at the Lowu/Shenzen border (KCR Train stop), but that goes for something like HK$450 per head (US citizen).
Schools? I have no idea, but if you really think ur gonna learn cantonese in 2 weeks, you r fooling yourself. Cntonese is much more difficult than Mandarin. Most people in Guangzhou also speak Mandarin which is the national laguage, so take my advice and learn mandarin instead.
