Dear fellows,
I would like to find out about the China-Tibet Railway. How's the journey like? The frequency? And is it expensive? |

Actually, the real name of the railway is "Qinghai-Tibet" as it links two provinces in China.
The new railway line will be operational at the Beijing's West Railway Station from July 1, 2006. The trip will take 2 days and the price is yet to be determined. I have heard guesses anywhere from one half to one third of an airline ticket (Beijing-Lhasa). Please wait! Perhaps in June, we will know the details about the railway from beijing to tibet. |
