Food and students in Kunming? |

Going to Kunming with a volunteer group and staying at Spring Garden hotel.
Anyone been there?
Do you know of any ethnic restaurants in Kunming that speak a little English, enough for me to get interesting food I like?
There used to be an "English Corner" in the city, where local students went to practice their English. Any knowlege of times and places?
Any other advice on the city?

There are some English corners in Kunming but quite often they change venues. Try the grounds at Yunnan Normal University (Yunda) on a Wednesday evening - entrance on Yi Er Yi Dajie (Dec 1st St). Certainly used to be at 9pm. Go in the gates and ask some students. |
