I would like to know where in china should i go first to cross the border of china-vietnam?
is there any train from china to vietnam? how much and what's the schedule?
how can i get a vietman visa? can i get it in the border? how much?
i will be coming from guangzhou, so need to know what or where to go first before vietnam?

there is a train that runs twice a week from Beijing to Hanoi. If you are in the South of China, you can pick this train up in places like Guilin and Nanning. The train departs Beijing on Tuesdays and Fridays, takes 24 hours to reach Guilin and then another 24 hours to hanoi.
The other option is to travel by bus to Pingxiang which is the border town on the Chinese side, cross the border and take a train or bus from the other side to Hanoi
If you are going to be travelling in the south, i would definatly recommend a visit to Yangshuo which is next to Guilin. |
