One week travel with clasmates in Yunnan, flexible tour |

Hi all,
My clasmates (spouse, High school) are planning a trip to Yunnan in December. We would be there about 1 week. We'd rather not get stuck on a bus with a large group of tourists. Can we hire a guide or is there a tour that gives you flexibility to see what you want and skip the tourist traps? How about independent travel . If we pick one city and stay there the whole time, which one would be best in December: Kunming, Lijiang, Dali?

I think frist you don't fix the city you are going to stay. move from place to place during the tour bring you more knowlege about china society and you see the colorful life.
According to what you said, I recommend you to find a tourguide that you pay for day and hire a car with the driver that also pay for day. you can go wherever you wanna go and it just no different from independent travel.
