Hi from UK! I am going to visit to Guilin and Yangshou during 13 December until 21 December 2005. I know it should be little cold to travel but I like it.
Anyone can recommend me the famous local dishes in these cities? or who can give me any advise on everything pertaining to these two cities?
any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Hi traveler,
Famous Dishes that i can tell you are : stewed duck with gingko.
steamed chicken, GuiLin rice-flour noodles, cooked glutinous rice pounded into paste , glutinous rice with fine bean mash, 6 GuiLin zongzi(a pyarmid-shaped dumling made of glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves), GuiLin songgao cake, Guilin tangyuan(dumplings made of glutinous rice flour served in soup).
you can taste them in these Famous Restaurant:
Chinese name: yueyalou . add: in the QiXing Garden
It runs local quick -food on the first floor.The second floor is vegetarian food cooked by local Buddhist nun. It also runs Guilin local special famous dishes that are ordered.
