Hi,
I am planning to travel around China next January with my girlfriend, for three weeks.
My plans are to get to Lhasa from Kunming, but....I have been unable to find out how can I get there. Plane is out of my plans, so I guess I will have to get there by bus (which sounds quite attractive to me. I would apreciate any information about buses going to Lhasa from Kunming, or , in case there aren't, how could I get there, how long does it take and how much would that cost me.
Another question, which is the temperature I should expect to find there?

Hi Jolian,
There is no bus or train between Kunming and Lhasa.The most common way of getting from China to Lhasa, Tibet is from Chengdu. There are several guesthouses in Chengdu that offer a one-way plane ticket and Tibet Travel Permit to Lhasa for Y1900 ($231)
