tiger leaping gorge from Qiaotou to Walnut Grove in mid Nov |

We are interested in hiking the high trail of tiger leaping gorge from Qiaotou to Walnut Grove in mid Nov and would like to know more about the weather there. Is mid Nov still in the raining season? Is it necessary to hire a guide? Any info is welcome. Thanks. |

The raining season in Yunnan is from July to September. The weather would be fine in November. But it will be snowing in Zhongdian from the end of November to February. I think it is Okay for you to visit Tiger Leaping Gorge in Mid Nov. it is 2~3 hours far away from Zhongdian by car.
My friends, who come from France, just finished their tour in North part of Yunnan on 29th Sep. They did a little bit Trekking in Tiger Leaping Gorge. They hire an English speaking guide who recommended by a tour website in Yunnan, named Yunnantourism. Their trip in North part of Yunnan sounds good.have fun in china |
