how to deal Thi visa?any hints for other destination? |

Hi all,
My girlfriend and I are flying to Bangkok on the 1st May and travelling to various locations in Asia/Australasia. This is our first time travelling and we do not know really what to do for visas and I don’t fancy paying premium rate numbers to listen to recorded messages!
I was wondering whether any of you kind people would be able to help out?
In particular at the moment we are wondering about the Thai one: The Thai embassy website says you can get a visa on arrival, providing you have proof of leaving within this time - our onward flight is actually from Singapore 2 months later, does that mean we need to buy a 60 days one? Also as we are going to go in to Laos for a couple of days - does that mean we need to pay for multiple entries?
Does anybody have any ideas on this and any hint/tips for other destinations?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. |

What most travelers do is get the 30 day Thai entry visa upon arrival. Then they travel to Mae Sai north of Chiang Rai and cross over into Burma and back (you cannot stay overnight in Burma) to get another entry for another 30 days. You can also do this in Ranong. |
