ten days tour in northern Xinjiang,what about the itenerary? |

I wanna tour about ten days in Xinjiang,like Burqin,Alstay,Kuitun,Kanas,Gohst city,Sayram,Bayinbulak,Urumqi,is it enough for ten days ?
How should I arrange my itinararry?

4th/Oct.Hemu-Kanas village-Alstay. The time is not enough.You'd better stay in Kanas for one day because of the attractive view of Kanas.Alstay-Burqin 58km-Ghost city-Kuitun187km, the time is not enough.It'll be the best if you can get to Kelamayi.That'll be plenty of time if you add 3-5 days more on this tour.
1.As to the vehicles,both Mianbao vehicle and SANTANA are O.K.If you can rent cross country vechile, that's the best.
2. You'll have to show your passport in Alstay which you can conduct in Kanas on the way to Guanyv povilion just over the bridge.
3.If you don't plan to camp at the cross, there haven't any hotels vailable.
4.In Xinjiang, road constructions are usually closed .That will influnce you journey.

Thanks for your helpful advices. I have changed my route as below:
1.Urumuchi-2.Burqin-3.Hemu-4.Kanas-5.Alstay-6.Ghost city,Kuitun-7.Sayram-8.Yinin-9.Bayinbuluk-10.Urumuchi
Is the route practicable? What is the relationship between Yili Region and Yinin?(8th day).And I inquired the driver of cross country , he told me that although the vehicle is for severn,actually, only 4 persons can sit in it for the person in the rear will toss about.Is that true? |

As far as I know Yinin is the capital city of Yili region. |

What others said is true.Seven persons cannot sit in a seven-seated vechile.You'll have to take it into consideration where you proposal your luggage? Usually ,we can add two seats in the reservation car.Think about the long way you'll go, it'll be painful to squeeze in .As to the relationship between Yili Region and Yinin,that's simple:Yili is one of a region in Xinjiang,and Yinin is the capital of Yili region. |
