What are my chances of getting accommodation in Guangzhou during the trade fair if I just arrive there without booking a hotel before? I can;t believe the prices I see for hotels on the internet. Aren't there any secret cheap places that only the locals know about? If anyone can give me a tip I would really appretiate it, my little South African rands can't stretch so far  thank you! D |

most of the hotels on the net are famous ,so the price is also hi. if you wanna take cheaper hotel ,ask from local taxi driver that they maybe give you some information if you are lucky.
the hotels that tourists live is often expensive,so you try to find some hostel.
that maybe cheap.
