Entrance fee to historic sites doubled in Beijing?

Can somebody from Beijing confirm if the entrance fee to historic sites such as Forbidden City, Great Wall, etc, been doubled from 1 Dec 2004?
I was told this by a friend, who told me entrance fee to the Forbidden City should now be RMB80 per adult!

I did hear the news about the ticket prices for Forbidden city and other parks are going to increase 5 yuan to 50 yuan. I'm not sure if the price has increased or not yet since I'm not in Beijing.
