train to Chengdu, any budget accommodation near the inception |
|

I am going to take train to Chengdu I would like to take 2 separate trips.
One, take a train to Emei stay overnight somewhere before hiking the next day and staying at the summit. I will hike down the next day and stay overnight before taking a train back to Chengdu. I would like to know of any budget accommodations I could stay at in or around Emei before and after the hike. I also need to know what the station name is I would need in Chengdu.
Two, take a train/bus to Dujiangyan and then a bus to Qingcheng. Again I would like to stay somewhere the evening before the hike and after the hike. I would also like to spend a night on the mountain. Again I would like to know of any budget accommodations near the starting point of Qincheng and also what station I need to depart from in Chengdu.
Is it worth spending a day at Dujiangyan and then going to Qingcheng?
Lastly, if both trips depart from roughly the same location, can anyone recommend budget accommodations in Chengdu. Perhaps one that would be willing to book my train/bus tickets and lodging?
I know it is a lot, but I couldn't find little on the transportation aspects of these places.
Thank you kindly for time. |

Let me talk about the 2nd question.
Dujiangyan will cost you only about a half day, so it'll be not necessary to stay overnight there. My recommendation, to take a bus (from Chadianzi Station, or some other station) for not more than 1 hr riding time to Dujiangyan in the morning. After Dujiangyan, it'll be after noon time, go to Qingcheng mountain. It's worthy stay there overnight, but the price is higher than stay in Dujiangyan. Just bargain with the hostel bosses.
Dujiangyan is to the North of Chengdu, Emei is to the South of Chengdu, better to take accommodation in Chengdu. You can visit below website to find budget room:

For both directions, there are many buses runing all the day which should be your first choice. |
