Can I buy travel ticket of xian-pingyao in Beijing? |

I would like to take train #2536, I think schedule is dep Xian 20:07 arr. Pingyao 6:35 in mid Sep. I like to buy a ticket in soft sleeper. This train originates from Baoji.
1) I read that this ticket can only be bought at originating city. Is this correct?
2) I only have a day in Xian before I leave for Pingyao but will be in Beijing prior to this. Can I buy this in Beijing and how far in advance can I buy it? I am afraid the sleeper class will be full.

Yeh ,it is correct ,you only can buy it when you in Xian.Another way is to contect with a travel agency or ask some one to buy ticket for you.
