I would like to plan to tour from Kunming to Dali to Lijiang to Zhongdian and then to Chongqing.
My questions are what is the best recommended transportation to go from Kunming to Dali if time is the concern but not taking plane?
Is there any transport available to travel from Zhongdian or Lijiang to Chongqing?
If yes, can provide the detail?
If no, is it that I have to go back to Kunming and then to Chongqing?
What will then be the fastest time taken to go to Chongqing other than flight?

From Kunming to Dali the bus will be a nice choise.It will take about 4 hours to arrive.I will go to make sure it and give you more details.

There is direct flight from Shangari-la to Chengdu.Not sure with the schedule
Flight will be the best way to have a go.As Shangri-la is too far away from Chengdu or Chongqing.

If you don't mind I suggest that you take a plane to Shangrila first then take a bus from Shangri-la to Lijiang.After that trip you can take another bus from Lijiang to Dali.The next step is taking one train to go to Kunming.The last section is taking one flight coming back.You can have a think about that idea.

From Lijiang you can take the bus to Panzhihua, and continue by bus to Chongqing or you can take the train

Have you made the trip to clarify the traveling time. Old road used to be terrible and long. Is 4 hours correct?
