I want to go to Beijing on Standby on Feb 26th or there abouts. Is it a busy time; when does NY fall this year? Also is it expensive in Beijing is it comparable to Bangkok price wise for gifts and clothes etc....

Chinese New Year fall on Feb. 9, and the Festival of Lantern is Feb.23, Generally, after Feb 23, the new year atomosphere end. Feb. 26 is not busy that time. Beijing is not an expensiive city compared with Bangkok.
