Is there any way I can avoid going to Urumqi so many times?
During my tour I have already been Urumqi and I don't wanna waste my time by going again

If you are doing detours to the North. There are alternatives but in practice they work out to be more inconvenient and longer (eg Buerqin to Yining). You will still likely end up transiting through Urumqi at some stage no matter how determined you are to avoid it. Console yourself by going to FUBAR, an excellent bar + hangout place on Park Street North (Gong Yuan Bei Jie) behind Renmin Park.
