Hi!

I have some questions concirning my trip to and through China in august:

1) I? like to take a night train from Beijing to Shanghai. Are these trains often fully booked? Do you think, that, when I buy at the Beijing? train station the ticket 3 or 4 days before departing, I?l get 4 tickets in one
compartment? And what? the price? Is there a different price for tourist? And are the prices which are given on this homepage the prices that I?l have to pay directly at the train station?

2) I have in mind visiting Kazakhstan. There? a train from Urumqi to Almaty, but only two times a week. Is this train often fully booked? And how
much does it cost? How many days before departure can I buy the tickets?

it is impossible to assure weather it is fully booked ,but you can book it on net or can buy it directly from train station.you can buy ticket 10 days in advance。compartment is ok, you pay 327RMB for hard sleeper and 499RMB for soft sleeper,the whol cover is 1463kilometer, takes about 13 hours.
you can get to kazakhstan from urumqi，but I don't know if it is fully reserved or not? ticket price is about 550RMB,you can buy it 10n days beforehand.
