It takes around 2 hours from HK airport to Shenzhen airport. You should leave yourself at least 2 to 2 and half hours. Most convenient way is airport to airport transport. If you are in downtown HK then the ferry from Kowloon is a slightly faster and less crowded option. it depends on whether you get slick connections or not. If you just missed one bus then you need to add 30 minutes extra to your time as they run at 30 minute intervals. Do you see how this works. So while you might do it in less than 2 hours in reality it may take you more.
