My wife, 14 year old son and myself will be coming to Kunming in February for a year. We will both be working the school year and want to travel throughout China as much as possible in holidays etc. Any tips about places to visit besides the obvious ones, particularly in the Yunnan would be appreciated. In Yunnan ,Dali, Lijiang ,Kunming are famous for travel ,stone forest of Kunming is most famous.I don't know much about Dali ,but Lijiang also has a lot of sightseeing like Baisha Frescoes ,Baishui River ,Baoshan Stone Village
Dayan Town ,Jade Spring Park,The Great Trek, The Mansion of Mu Clan The Yangtze River Bend ,Tiger Leaping Gorge,Yufeng Lamasery ,Yulong Snow Mountain,Yunshanping .
choose yourself and take tour.
