Can't remember the border crossing name but
Pro's and Cons of bus/air to Kunming from Border.
(besides the track record of internal Chinese airlines....)
is there any other option... |

It is better to come Chengdu ,make a one-day tour ,and fly from Chengdu to Beijing, make two day tour and from Xinjiang to Laos should be more interesting travel.
If you have enough time and money.
