I think you can stay at Dragon Hostel.
A room with two single beds and one double bed costs HK$400. That's with attached bathroom, nice towels, a clean room and Stanley is VERY helpful! Its fairly quiet and very close to shopping such as the Ladies Market. The bus to Guangzhou is a 5 minute walk away at the CTS office.
Chungking mansions also isn't that bad. a lot of the guesthouses are actually quite nice once you get inside them, small yes, but decent and the only real budget option in Kowloon.

Try the Evergreen Hotel. It is moderately priced ($56) per night, and located near the Temple Street night market. It is nothing to write home about, but the rooms are clean and they have nice hot showers. YOu also get free internet access, and breakfast is included.Chungking Mansions, in Kowloon. Clean (but small) rooms, about the only places you could consider budget in downtown Kowloon. |
