Hi, we are planning a trip to Guilin and Yangshuo in the last days of November - is it worth going there at this time of the year or should one go there at another time? |

Should be ok and usually November weather in southern China is still quite nice. The change over to rainy cold weather most often occurs in mid-December. Let's hope you hit the right time. Have a good tour .

We were in tour that area in mid November for about a week and a half and it was cold on some days and warm on others but it didn't rain. I would say go for it and actually the karst formations look very beautiful draped in clouds as well as in the sun. By the way, as well as Yangshuo we also went to the rice terraces outside of Longsheng and the villages outside of Sanjiang and I would highly recommend both if you have the time. |

Hi :
I am working in a travel company in Guilin. In my opinion, It's not the ideal time to come to Guilin. but it should still be nice. October and in the begining of Novemeber would be better, because there is more water in the Li River , and the trees as ever are greener. I agree with sataranman's comments above, the weather should be ok, some cool days along with sunny weather. I also recommend going to Longsheng, Sanjiang and Xingping Village:)

It's never supercold down there but the climate is quite humid so its not very pleasant when/if it is slightly cold. I'd still go if I were you, at least it won't be high season. Avoid going during the weekend if you can. |
