Does anyone has experience with shipping stuff from China (Shanghai) to Europe? A friend of mine overthere needs to send me a parcel but is looking for the best option of sending it.. Is the China postal service reliable? And what would it app. cost for sending a package of 5 kilos to the Netherlands? |

Im not sure to Europe, but we recently sent a number of parcels to the US. Some had been repackaged but nothing was missing or damaged. Slow boat took about 4-6 weeks ,and air 2-3 weeks. Air is almost prohibitively expensive however.
i think the china post is ok if u try
I hoe it help |

Sent around 5 kilos earlier, costed around 200Y (20 euros, approx), to the Netherlands and it took a little over 2 months.
Later I tried SAL (quicker, a bit more expensive) and it arrived within 9 days!
And now Im waiting for my last 12kg, which Im pretty sure will get there soon enough ...
Yes China post is reliable ... |

yes, its slow but quite reliable. took 5 weeks in my case to the EU.
watch out though, post office workers can be real pricks when they examine what you're shipping. if they suspect that you're trying to send fake brand name goods, they might refuse to let you send it (this obviously also applies to fake cds, dvds etc.). |
