tour China and relative visit is difficult to arrange |
|

My husband and I will be visiting Hong Kong for the last two weeks in January. I know it's not an ideal time to tour in China, but the timing's not very flexible, unfortunately. We'll be Hong Kong our home base (staying with relatives) and would like to fly in to China to visit one or more cities over several days. Any suggestions on where to go? Thanks! |

Lijiang can be quite cold as well, but it is beatuiful, and you'll get to experience it without the crush of people in the warmer months. You can do the Dali* Lijiang* Kunming tour in a week's time, and it's worth it.
Guilin will be colder, and probably mistier, and you may not be able to do the Li River journey to Yangshuo in January if the river is low, but it is also a good place to see in the winter to avoid crowds.
Hainan Island is even more tropical than Hong Kong, and facilities have improved a great deal there. It's a great place to relax for a few days.
I can say darely that you will have a cold tour |
