Will it be hard to walk in and book last minute in Shanghai? |
|
|
I'm going to be arriving in Shanghai next Saturday for my first short tour (all of two days). I really like the idea of checking out my hostel accommodations before I commit to staying somewhere. I would love to hear from anyone who could advise me on this! Will it be difficult to walk in and book last minute at this time of year? Will the hostel staff mind showing me a room before I book with them? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks! |

Check out this website; www.elong.net
You can make a reservation there while getting good discounts (prices below what LP states). I stayed at the New Asia Hotel and booked for this hotel 2 days before arriving last week. They allowed me to check the room before I decided to stay.
Have fun; Shanghai is great!

In all the places I've travelled, including Shanghai, I've been able to look at the room (and any external toilet facilities if the room only had a shared bath) before deciding to check in. Generally it's not too much of an issue to find a place at the last minute, though you might not be able to get one of the rock bottom priced spaces depending on how popular the hostel is. |
