What to do in Tibet in a week tour? |
|
|
Going to Lasha for a week tour, what do you recomend me to do? Supposed not to climb mountains. From where can I have a nice view of Everest? I read from a Monastery near the base camp, but it seems to be far away from Lasha.Does it worth sleeping somewhere out from Lasha or better stay there and move around? Thanks all, |

A week is barely enough time to see the sights in and around Lhasa. The absolute best place to see Everest is from the Base Camp, and to a lesser extent, the road near Tingri. It is best to spend at least a couple of days in Lhasa acclimatizing. You will need more than a week if you want to see Everest. In Lhasa, you have the Potala, Johkang and the Barkhor area, Sera, etc. Day trips can include Samye, Ganden, and Drepung.
A suggestion is to visit Namucuo lake after you get a taste of Lasa. When you get back, one week will past.
I hope your tour to Lhasa shold be wonderful |
