Planning on doing the fly from Chengdu to Lhasa route. The wife and I are interested in trekking for 3 or 4 days with EBC as one proposed site.We are packing tonight and don't want to lug the tent, sleeping pad, and bag for the other few weeks of our tour in China. How viable is it to rent this stuff in Lhasa on arrival?Any suggested places to rent them? Approximate prices if this is possible?Quality of rental gear? What would you do if you were traveling for 2 or 3 more weeks in hot China and wanted to trek in Tibet, rent or bring the stuff?Cheers, |

Yes, you can rent them in Lhasa.The street in front of Dazhaosi monastery has many rent stores. You can rent any outdoor equipment you need.I have rent a tent, four sleep bag, and a stove there. They cost me about more than 100 Yuan per day,but made my tour more easy.If you need better one, the price will be higher. There are many kinds of equements. You can choose the price you can accept with the quality you need.
