Hello, please can I get your feedback : as per a previous topic I opened, my boyfriend and I will be visiting SE Asia in mid-September. We need to be in Singapore for Sept 18th. Prior to this we would like to see some other places and are thinking of going to either Hong Kong or Bangkok, and also spending some days at a beach resort. We are not into backpacking so would like to stay at mid-range hotels. I am thoroughly confused by the many options available and need some more ideas to find the best itinerary. For example, is it best to fly into HK then out of Singapore, or in & out of S'pore and get a cheap flight to HK whilst there? What are the nice beach resorts to go to near HK? Would Bangkok be better? We will only have about 11 nights in total, including flying to & from home - not enough really, but how can we make the best of this time? All ideas appreciated! Thanks.

I think the tour for beach resorts go to Bangkok, Thailand (not to HK definately) . From Bangkok only 4 hours to Koh Samet Island.Fly Tigerairways Singapore-Macau (approx. 18 US$ one way including tax.) Bangkok-Hongkong MUCH more expensive.Hong Kong - more high tech, interesting, strange. Bangkok - laid back, temples, lots of westerners. take your pick, or do both (for the price of the flight...)
Another option for this tour is: Jetstar Asia and Valuair also fly direct to HK from Singapore.Hong Kong and surrounds do not have nice beaches and you're better off heading to Thailand (Koh Chang or Samet are a few hours drive from Bangkok) if that's what you're interested in. You could also skip Bangkok and head straight for Phuket (Tiger Airways or Air Asia) from Singapore.
