train Hong-Kong -> Lanzhou and Lanzhou -> Beijing |
|
|
I intend to travel, in 10 days, from Beijing to HK, spend 2 days there, and then from HK to Lanzhou (to spend a few days in some little village in the Gansu province) to finally go back to Beijing.
By train, I wonder if I can have a direct train from HK to Lanzhou, a night would be the best, and one which runs all the week (I think leaving HK the Aug 22nd or 23rd on evening). If I have to stop, I'll surely have to wait until the early morning to catch another one. Where can be the best city to change? (Guangzhou or farer, like Chongqing...).
How much do U think I'll pay?
From Lanzhou to Beijing, it's possible, but I don't know if it's a night train too, and every day or not, how much...
Last thing: I think it's always better to buy the train ticket in the departure station, but it's more risky (it will be a few days before the travel, and if I have problems I'll be forced to buy an expensive flight ticket maybe...)
Sorry for askin all these questions, but, I need an answer : if I can have more information before going to the station face the unpleasing counter clerk, it's better! |

I think it fit for u.but the cost is unclear to me
you are right ,if u buy it in advance you may sell if u have chance or it maybe waste your money. |

Thanks for the information
I'll check if I can find the price.. I thought it would be less than 22 hours to travel from Lanzhou to Beijing, because it takes 12 hours from Xi'an to Beijing: but maybe the train is slower; I wonder if taking a train Lanzhou->Xi'an and catch the Xi'an-> Beijing is possible. I think I'll check in Lanzhou: I know that one night train leaves Xi'an at 5PM
I think I'll leave beijing by plane (it's not so much more expensive if you reach Shenzhen), to avoid having one third of my trip in the train |
