I've traveled through the stans West to East and am leaving Osh in the next few days for Kashgar. I know this is shaded a little for this forum but, figure the central Asia folk will have a better chance of answering my question. Does anyone know what day or days the train from Kashgar to Urmchi goes? Is it difficult to get a ticket at this time of year? Thanks to everyone. Hope you have as wonderful a trip as I have. |

There's a train every day.It takes less than 24 hours if you take the fast train,the general train takes about 30 hours and it starts of 9:00 o'cloc at Beijing time ,2;00 o'clock (fast train). Paid 345 rmb for a hard sleeper. Quite new and comfortable doubledecker train with 4 persons in each compartment and good washing facilities.You can get the ticket all the year round . |
