Hello everyone,
I have been reading a lot of the posts on Tibet, I am really confused. There seems to be a lot of contradicting information. I even read one post saying that information giving in the Lonely Planet guide was incorrect. What is the deal with Tibet? Can someone give me a straight simple answer about what is and is not allowed as far as travel to Tibet and around Tibet?

Some people have managed to travel without permits, and some get caught. The basic permit that allows you to enter Tibet is not a pass that allows you to go wherever you want. Where do you want to go? If you can be more specific, I'm sure someone here will have an answer for you. |
