Yangtze River Boats |

I am planning a vacation to China next May that will include a trip down/up
the Yangtze River. I understand that there are many boats used by the tour
companies, some much better than others. I would appreciate any information
on particularly good one to seek out or bad ones to avoid. |

Boat was upgrade 5 star - Yangtze Angel. Great service, great boat, food
etc.
When you go make sure your paper currency is in good shape as the hotels whohave to send the currency to the Bank of China will reject tears etc.
I had a few bills that were like this. This is one case hwere travellers
cheques are better and acutally give you a higher rate.
Rate is same throughout the country as it is of course not a hard currency.
Try to learn hello - ni hao and good morning - zao before you go.
I got a lot of stares and I found speaking a few words in Chinese really
helped. |
