Is there internet availability at internet cafes in Beijing? I was there
about 2 years ago, and the government had closed them, but I was wondering
if they are open now. At that time, in other cities internet cafe's were
available, but not in Beijing. Also, will it be a problem to download
images from my digital camera's flash card to a CD in an internet cafe in
China? |

I found many excellent internet cafes
there, with generous bandwidth and absurdly low prices (about US$0.40/hr).
My favorite one, around the corner from McDonalds (behind the hotel across
the street) in the southern end of Wangfujing shopping promenade, was
sparkling new and had none of the cigarette smoke that I had been warned
about. Well... It would be much cheaper if you use traditional camera
instead, the price of developing film rolls is pretty cheap, at least
it's pretty much cheap when I was in Hangzhou. I do know that
somewhere, the price of printing photos from film rolls is pretty
cheap too, but I forgot where.
For burning digital images into C.D. in Internet cafes. Well, I think
that they also provide that kind of service. |
