hi!!!
I'm at Jinghong at the moment...going to go up to Kunming..
I really want to do the back door to Sichuan....the way from Lijing to Zhongdian and then up to Sichuan through Kangding to Chengdu...
I don't have much time..how much time would it take from Lijing to Chengdu if I start off in two weeks or so..???!!!! are all the roads open?!! Is it recomended?I've got some mixed info, I would love to hear what you all think!

I Did this in early July, in the opposite direction. You need a minimum of 5 days Lijiang-Chengdu. Times as follows: Chengdu-Kangding 7 hr, K-Litang 10 hr, L-Xiangcheng 6 hrs, X-Zhongdian 9 hrs, Z-Lijiang 5 hours. All but the first & last legs had only one bus a day (but every day). Spectacular scenery but you might get more rain than I did.
