Anyone out there taken the train from Shanghai to Beijing? How long would it take? Any suggestions on places that are fun to stay for single trotters, Shanghai and Beijing?
Any tips would be appreciated!!!

I took the train a bunch of times. Make sure you take the te kuai (fastest) one if possible. Its an easy overnight trip with hard sleeper tickets going for about Y250 last summer. Leave at 7:30pm get in at 9am thereabouts. There are tons of Beijing - Shanghai trains in both directions and they are always trying to shave time off the trip. |
