Can anyone tell me the airport code for Xian please. I've seen SIA and XIY. I'm about to book tickets to XIY.

XIY is code of Xian Xianyang airport, you are correct.
but :SIA was the code of old Xian airport, I guess it is still in operation now as a military airport (??). It is very common worldwide for one city with different codes, for example, London: LON(london), LHR(Heathrow), LGW(Gatwick), etc.....Enjoy Xian.
