Trans-Mongolian straight through |
|
|
So has anyone actually gone straight through from Beijing to Moscow via UB without any extra days in UB or elsewhere? More importantly, did you enjoy it?
We've looked through dozens of links for the Trans-Mongolian and the least expensive we can find are:
http://www.sv-agency.udm.ru/sv/trains.htm
http://www.waytorussia.net/Services/TrainTickets.html
$295US 3rd class, Train #3.
or $500US for Beijing - UB, Train#23 3rd Class; UB - Irkutsk, Train#263; and Irkutsk - Moscow, Train#9.
$500US per person seems like too much money for my wife and I. Too bad there aren't any youth fares!
If anyone knows of any better prices, please let us know! We're wanting to leave Beijing beginning of September.
Thanks. |

i did that trip a few years ago and really enjoyed it.
most people who are on that train are there for a few days and because of that they are very social towards the other travellers.
this ride is really cool if you wanna meet russians and travellers from around the world. |
