how long would you say is a good stay in Kunming? I am flexible, is there a lot to see in the region? is that true that the hotel Camillia is a good deal ?

In Kunming:
* Vegetable Park (thousands of different coloured tulips, & seagulls in winter)
* Yuantong Temple & the Thai temple at the back
* The Zoo (has a couple of pandas)
The 3 above are all very close together, & could be done in a day
* Mosque & Flower & Bird Market
* East & West Pagodas
Around Kunming are:
* Western Hills & Dragon Gate (highly recommended)
* Stone Forest (80 yuan entry fee & occasional crowds put a lot of people off: I thought it was ok)
* Bamboo Temple (good)
Further afield are Dali Lijiang, Jianshui, Gejiu & Jinghong
