Beijing weather for a trip in August |
|
|
I will be travelling to Beijing in August. The travel guides say the temperature should be around 33degrees, but the temperature has already reached 47degrees. Is this unusual or have the travel guides got it wrong? Any advice on how to cope with this kind of heat when you're used to living in a country where 28 degrees is considered hot?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Beijing RE: is it always so hot in BeijingPosted: Tue July 05 07:35:25 2005 UTC hi...thats so funny that you should write and say that the temp is around 40 and reaching up to 45 because here in China we are told nothing fo the sort!!! This is probably due to the fact that if it reaches a certain temperature, around 38 - 40 degrees C, people don't have to go to work!!! But I guess they don't want people flaking out on them so they tell us its around 38! But yes, it is very hot this summer, supposedly the hottest in 60 years!!! But I have a feeling it was the hottest in 59 last year!!! ha ha! Water is the only way to survive...and of course air conditioned taxis!!! Forget subway or buses!!! |

Thank you for your advice. Is the subway not airconditioned? Do all taxis have airconditioning? |
