booking excursion easy in xian |
|
|
I'll be in Xian in October for 2 nights and was wondering what is the best way to arrange a trip to see the Terracotta Army. At the moment, I haven't booked any excursions. How easy is it to book when I arrive and where do I go? My concern is that all the tour groups would be full if I book when I arrive in the city. Would this be quite likely or are there many tour companies operating which makes it unlikely? I'll be staying at the Bell Tower hotel.
Thanks |

Dont worry you can organize those trips day by day from every hostel or hotel. Or do it yourself by public bus No 306 from the trainstation, much cheaper and you don't get dragged into some souvenir shops or restaurants where your guide gets some share....
This is the main attraction, there are more offers to go there than tourists;-) |

If you are taking the airport shuttle bus, there is a tour interpretaterr introducing Xian and its main tourist attractions which would go on throughout the ride. Tell the lady (who dressed in uniform) that you are interested in joining the local excursions and she will arrange that for you. BTW, the excursions are run by state government funded agencies hence their offers are value for money and cheaper than CTIS. |
