Hi,
What is the weather like in early / mid July?
What are the not to be missed attractions?
What is there to buy and where to shop? Am not looking for anything in particular, but just wondering.
Thanks!

Shanghai is hot and humid in July, and all summer,in fact. The temperatures here are similar to a large southern city in the US such as Atlanta.

You must see Xiang Yang market in the subway station under the Science and Technology museum in Pudong. See my Shanghai page for more information about this place and how to get there. When you arrive or depart Shanghai, be sure to try the Maglev.
