Booking air Shanghai to Beijing ... November |
|
|
I am entertaining the thought of going to China in November but I will be flying into Shanghai. I would like to purchase a round trip ticket from Shanghai to Beijing so I can leave for Beijing shortly upon arrival to Shanghai.
What is a good site to book this ticket? I understand Air China could be the best option, however I am not sure I am finding the official Air China site.
While on this post, could you also confirm if the weather at that time of the year will not interfere with going to the wall at Mutianyu (sp?).
Thanks! |

You may want to consider an open jaw ticket. Fly from your home to Shanghai, and home from Beijing. That way do don't have to backtrack. It will save you time and maybe money. But maybe you are using a free frequent flyer ticket. |

elong.com is a good sight for domestics tickets. I have other sights listed as Travel Tips on my China page.
You should be aware the prices for domestic flights often get cheaper the closer to departure. Check the web sites and change the departure dates to see what mean. There are many flights using both airports in Shanghai to Beijing.
You can also take an overnight train, I flew from Shanghai to Beijing in May 2007, took an overnight train to Xi'an, then flew back to Shanghai. |

If it is a month,it will be enough for you to enjoy Beijing. You can stay in some resident's apartment, which is for rent during the Olympic. It will be cheaper. |
