About chinese visa |
|
|
i am in Laos at the minute, we were hoping to cross overland to China after having obtained our Chinese visa in Vientiane. Talking to agencies around, it seems that China has hardened the procedure quite a lot. They now want your entry and exit ticket, plus hotel reservations.
Has anyone got experience on chancing or dodging around the red tape, ie we are prepared to book a few things, but not two months hotels!! Any ideas ? Or tips on internet train booking or cheap airlines ? Hotels that accept cancellation with no questions ??
We will try our best begging at the embassy tomorrow, but any info would be much appreciated,
Thanks,

don't remember seeing this before .It is interesting because airlines tell you go get a visa first because they will not refund a restricted ticket should you fail to get a visa. Also, you can cross into Mainland China by land, like via HK, of even Vietnam so why do you need an air ticket? The visa application uses to have a 2 year option for Multi-entry This is when the new application came out and they increase the price by $100 for US citizens, it only has a 1 year option now. I have a friend who got a multi-entry toutist visa good for 2 years. |
