Planning on taking a few members of the family for a 2-week visit to China. First time for one member. Looking for Tour Operator recommendations. Preferrably a Tour Operator operating from the US.

I recommend Wild China (www.wildchina.com) Their trips are a bit on the pricier side but they were by far the best travel company I used. I believe I went on three different trips with three different companies (other than wild china) and they were each a nightmare. One of them, the guide didn't speak a lick of english! Wild China specializes in adventure travel and it's the best way to really see China beyond the standard Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi'an (not that there is anything wrong with that, but there is just so much more to see!). They have fully licensed english speaking guides and they are very professional. The founder is a young Harvard graduate who I would trust with my life! She's great and they seem to think of everything.
