Its been a little over two weeks since i've been in Beijing and already im itching to get out of the city. Pingyao and Datong are high on the list but first i want to start off on a small trip nearby.

I found out about the Cuandixia village while browsing these forums and it looks like an interesting place to visit.

Im thinking of going there this saturday... And if anyone's been there already you might be able to help me out by giving some info.

I already got details on how to get there through the subway and bus (through this forum) but i want to know if it would be possible to stay overnight there? How easy is the accommodation to get and how much of a touristy place is Cuandixia.

Cuandixia, this is really a off the beaten site.
you can take the subway Line 1, get off at the terminal station Pingguao Yuan (the apple garden). then transfer to bus no.929 branch line, it takes about 2hr by no.929 bus. there is no hotel, but the country farmer's home could accomodate you.
