Which month is better to visit Beijing - April or May? |

Hope everyone's doing well! We're planning to visit Beijing, Shanghai and Xinjiang respectively for two weeks.
Our choices are either arrive at Beijing on April 7 or May 19. Weather wise, which month (April or May) would you recommend - we don't prefer too hot nor cold/rain? Also, will it be crowded during these months? It'll be our first time in China!

I think May is better. May 1 is a holiday. Before it was a week holiday so lots of chinese traveling at that time. I hear the holiday is now only 3 days.
Sometime Beijing has bad sand storms in the spring. A local may be able to tell you more.
I was in Beijing last May. The weather was nice but sometime windy. A little sand storm at the Great Wall but not as bad as I hear in April. |
