To get a Chinese visa s/he would probably do best to go to a travel agent. They can tell her. It's quite straightforward in Guangdong, especially in GuangZhou. Costs about 250 RMBUS visa. Well that's more of a problem. If you look at the US visa website there are downloadable pdf forms she needs to complete. But that's just the first step. S/he will need to schedule an interview at the US visa office in Guangzhou. You schedule it by buying special phone cards at CITIC bank. You also need to pay for the visa application at CITIC bank.

Meanwhile the friend will need to gather some documentation. Apart from birth certifcate etc., what they mostly want to see is proof that your friend will actually return to China. This could be a big fat bank account, and/or ownership of property. A spouse is a good clue, as is a child. They also want to see evidence of employment, maybe a letter from the company. |
