Hi I am planning to go to China for three months and would like to know how easy it is to find ATMs that accept debit cards like Maestro for example.

Are these only found in provincial capitals or can you find them in smaller towns too?

I do not really like the idea of traveller's cheques, so I am hoping to draw out money in the major cities.

I know carrying around large amounts of cash in one go is a bit risky but I would prefer to do it this way.
If anyone has any advice on this I'd be very grateful. Thank you!
